Сценарій до свята День Канади.

Тема:Canada. Land of the Silver Birch.

Мета:

поглибити та систематизувати знання учнів про Канаду;

сприяти використанню комп’ютерних технологій під час підготовки позакласних заходів; розвивати творчі здібності учнів;

виховувати  інтерес до вивчення іноземних мов,  повагу до інших народів; формувати національну свідомість, відчуття належності до рідної землі.

Обладнання:святково оформлена зала, прапор та географічна карта Канади, мультимедійнапрезентація, відео про краєвиди Канади, музичний центр, мікрофони.

Ведучий 1:Good morning dear friends, teachers and guests of our school. We are glad to greet you on our holiday devoted to Canadian Study at gymnasium. First of all, let us introduce this beautiful and enchanting country.

Ведучий 2: The country we are going to speak about is called Canada.It`s name comes from the Huron-Iroquois word kanata , which means  “village” or “settlement”. (Слайд 1)

Ведучий 1: Canada is the second largest country in the world. It is situated to the north of the United States of America. Its territory is about ten million square kilometres. (Слайд 2)

Ведучий 2:National symbols of Canadaare The Royal Coat of Arms of Canada and The National Flag of Canada, also known as the Maple Leaf. The flag symbolizes the two oceans, washing the shores of Canada - Atlantic and Pacific. Maple Leaf must emphasize the unity of the nation. Red color symbolizes Britain. Ведучий 1:“O Canada” is Canada’s national anthem. Originally called “Chant national,” it was written in Québec City by Sir Adolphe-BasileRouthier  and composer CalixaLavallée, and first performed there on 24 June 1880. The lyrics were originally in French and the best-known English version was written by Robert Stanley Weir in 1908. The current version was officially adopted as Canada’s national anthem under the National Anthem Act on the 27^thof  June in 1980. (Слайд 4)

Ведучий 2:Canada is a parliamentary democracy under constitutional monarchy. Elizabeth the second, the Queen of Great Britain, is also Canada`s Queen. In her capacity, she has delegated her powers to the governor-general. De facto power, however, lies with the Cabinet, and the head of the state (the governor-general) usually acts on its advise. Ведучий 1:The population of Canada is over 33 mln. people. Most of the inhabitants are of British and French origin. Indigenous people make up 3 per cent of the population. They include North American Indians, Metis and Inuit. (Слайд 6)

Ведучий 2:Canada's two official languages are Canadian English and Canadian French. There are also many other languages in Canada: Chinese, Italian, German, Punjabi and Spanish. (Слайд 7)

Ведучий 2: Canada is a land of different kinds of scenery. It is a land of beautiful beaches and rocky shores, of high mountains and rolling hills, of flat yellow prairies and green pastures. Canada is the seventh –largest trading nation among the industrialized market economies and an active partner in international investment.Canada is known world-wide as a rich source of wheat, oil, lumber and minerals. Canada is a sugar maple tree country. The sap is collected in spring and evaporated to make maple syrup and sugar, a culinary delicacy first used by the aboriginal North American people.C-A-N-A-D-A is a children song about unsurpassed riches of Canada. The pupils of the fourth form are going to sing it for you. (Слайд 21)
